Stage description

From the Schattenmühle, the trail follows the north side of the Wutach River along mostly narrow paths through the forest to Bad Boll. From there, the trail runs along the south side of the Wutach for a longer stretch, and the rocky sections become more frequent. It can get slippery when wet. Some sections are secured with wire ropes. Eventually, the valley becomes gentler and you reach the Wutachmühle (snack bar). A little further uphill, the trail continues toward Achdorf, occasionally including paved sections. The climb to Blumberg is quite steep; alternatively, you can go south of the road along the waterfalls. When wet, these areas can be quite slippery.
