Stage description

From Schweinsbühl, head first to Deisfeld, then continue westward on scenic dirt roads that climb steeply, rising above the 600-meter elevation mark. Descend to Rattlar and follow the road over the next hilltop to Schwalefeld. From there, take a shaded path along the stream into the tourist town of Willingen. Passing ski lifts, head up through the Hoppecketal valley and past the beautiful Hochheide to Clemensberg, 839 m. Stop for refreshments at the Hochheidehütte, then take a forest path and later other trails down to Niedersfeld.

Note: The X16 main hiking trail, which this stage follows, has been discontinued between Marsberg and Willingen and will be removed in 2024. As a result, there are no longer any trail markers on this stage until Willingen.
