Stage description

The path out of Celle is very pleasant, winding through green belts along the Fuhse River and the edge of the forest and residential area. Numerous ditches and canals crisscross the forest north of the Wietzenbruch district of Celle. Later, the route becomes somewhat more monotonous. After this longer stretch through the forest, the route reaches Wietzenbruch behind the Rixförde farmstead and the former restaurant (now the clubhouse of a motorcycle club) in Allerhop. In this low-lying area, the route crosses the wet meadow landscape along the Wulbeck River and passes through the forest near the A7, where drinking water for Hanover is extracted. A narrow tunnel (not for those with claustrophobia) takes hikers to the other side of the highway. The rest of the stage leads through farmland.
