Stage description
Leaving Montabaur behind, past the Kneipp pools and swimming pool, the route follows a walking path and trail into the city forest. From there, head uphill on a wide forest path toward Welschneudorf. There you’ll find a butcher shop, a small store, and a rest area sheltered from the rain. The route continues through the forest with gentle ups and downs, though unfortunately it includes a stretch of about a kilometer on a busy road. Just before Nassau, you’ll finally get views over the Lahn Valley toward the Taunus. On the descent to Nassau, the trail markings become sparse – so keep an eye on the track.
