Stage description

From Cascina di Spedaletto, walk past the large building on the right, across the lawn and over a small bridge. The route then begins with a fairly steep climb along a washed-out path through slate rock – take care, as it is very slippery when wet. However, after 30–45 minutes, the ground becomes firmer again and the terrain less steep. The remaining two hours take you along pleasant forest paths to Rifugio Pacini, where there is water, food during the summer months and, in the other seasons, a small emergency shelter with two beds and a stove.
