Stage description

In Chiusi della Verna, head down from the war memorial to Torrente Rossara. Then follow the path through the scrubland and finally climb through the woods to the Eremo della Casella, where there is a lovely spot to rest. Continue down wide forest tracks until you reach Fragaiolo. After the village, follow the road for some time until an inconspicuous path branches off to the right towards Lama. From here, continue uphill along the road – partly intersected by footpaths – until you reach Michelangelo’s birthplace, Caprese Michelangelo, where there is a guesthouse.
