Stage description

The route initially leads through beech woods again, then, as it heads towards the Passo del Bratello, frequently through juniper heathland. The route mainly followed wider forest tracks, but also a small, freshly marked path through heathland. From Zeri onwards, the route is now marked as GEA. Those wishing to follow the E1 markings indicated in Krause (outdated E1 guide) can follow a signpost for Cervara shortly after Zeri.
