Stage description

This section is technically somewhat more challenging due to exposed, narrow paths and a precarious section shortly after Monte Soraggio, which is, however, secured by a wire rope. It is perfectly manageable even with a large rucksack, but only provided the weather is good and you are in good physical condition. 

The descent to Rifugio Bargetana begins at the La Focerella Pass. Alternatively, you can bypass Monte Prado via this route (Rifugio Bargetana – Passo di Lama Lite – Rifugio Segheria dell'Abetina Reale – Passo delle Forbici).
