After about 8 kilometers, just past Monte Poggio, the E1 follows a route shared with the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri (Ligurian High Route). At this point, the original route – now known as the "Variante di Pegli" – branches off toward Genoa-Pegli and is also marked as "E1." In Pegli, there is also a signpost indicating the endpoint of the E1 in Genoa.
At Agriturismo La Costa, you can buy groceries for cooking; it’s a very nice place to stay. Additionally, you’ll need to factor in a 150-meter climb and about 40 extra minutes.
Crocetta d'Orero is a stop on the narrow-gauge railway line to Genoa and Casella. The train runs several times a day and is a convenient way to reach accommodations or take a day trip to Genoa.
