Stage description

Cross a bridge over the Grövlan River, which flows into Lake Grövelsjön here. Wide planks give way to a staircase that leads up into the Långfjället Nature Reserve. You’ll encounter more people here than anywhere else. Tourists want to go to Silverfallet and perhaps on to Valdalsbygget. The route there takes you across a high plateau that offers a fantastic view – if you’re coming from the north, don’t forget to look back. The path is rocky.

Beyond the Valdalsbygget shelter, the landscape changes. There are more and more marshy areas, followed by rocky forest trails that eventually give way to gravel roads.
