Stage description

The trail starts at the hut and follows the Kuonjarjoki River upstream through terrain that becomes increasingly barren and rocky. At the end of the river, you reach the high plateau, followed by a long and steep descent to the Saarijärvi Hut, during which you’ll have to cross marshy sections as well as boulder fields from time to time.
