04.02 Abiskojaurestugan - Unna Allakas

The stage begins right at Abiskojaurestugan – just follow the signpost and you’ll find the slightly hidden trail toward Unna Allakas. The trail runs mainly through birch forest, though the landscape becomes increasingly open toward the end and transitions into shrub steppe just before Unna Allakas. Since the route runs through the wide Kamajåkka Valley, there are no significant inclines.

About a third of the way through the stage, you’ll reach the settlement of Rovvidievá. Roughly halfway along the route, there’s a clearing with a fire pit that seems to be a popular spot for camping. The 21 km distance between Unna Allakas and Abiskojaure indicated on the signs is definitely incorrect. The route is actually closer to 23 to 24 km long.

Although this trail is much less traveled than the Kungsleden, it is well-trodden and easy to follow. You can reach Unna Allaskasstugorna directly without having to turn off the trail.
