From Cunojávrihytta, head southwest. If you’re not careful, you’ll end up on the trail running parallel just a few meters away toward Lossihytta. After a kilometer, you’ll reach the bridge over the Čunojohka, which you must use – a wobbly affair! This is followed by a mostly straight, easy-to-walk section across the plain to the Gállanjohka. Here you must fords the river (not marked as a ford on the hiking map). After crossing the river, the trail becomes more difficult: the brush becomes denser and there are some marshy spots. The hiking maps show a shortcut toward Cáihnavággihytta shortly after the river crossing, but in reality, no path was visible there.
Eventually, you reach the slightly better bridge over the Kalikselva, or Čáihnajohka. On the other side, there is a signposted junction pointing left toward Cáihnavággihytta. Here, the trail becomes somewhat more unpleasant again as it winds through dense underbrush growing on muddy ground. At the latest when the two side valleys, Rimsečáihna and Orjjesčáihna, meet, the trail becomes more pleasant again. It follows the slope slowly uphill to Cáihnavággihytta.
