On this short, easy-to-hike section, you cross from the Swedish side to the Norwegian side. Even though the E1 subsequently runs through Swedish territory several times, the route doesn’t reach another Swedish hut until several days later.
The trail first leads to boundary marker 263, which can be reached via a short detour, and then continues to the northeastern end of Čunojávri, where there is a small beach. Below a private cabin, the trail continues slightly away from the lakeshore through slightly marshy but easily navigable terrain, leading directly to Cunojávrihytta. One of the cabins there is open in the summer and can therefore be used without a DNT key.
The route is incorrectly marked on the hiking maps (the correct route is shown here on the website); in fact, the trail runs much closer to the lake and branches off from the Cunojávrihytta, heading north on its own path. On the hiking maps, the first section from Cunojávrihytta follows the trail toward Hunddalen and crosses a bridge. In reality, you do not need to use this trail or the bridge.
