Northeastern Switzerland

The first stages in Switzerland gradually lead from the Alpine foothills up into higher regions. The Hörnli (1,133 m) marks the first small peak to be ‘conquered’.

The E1 follows the same route as Route 4 (Via Jacobi / "Schwabenweg") in north-eastern Switzerland.
