Stage description

This stage mainly follows tarmac side roads, farm tracks or gravel paths through the hilly, somewhat monotonous countryside. Before reaching Fischingen, there is a lovely 2 km stretch along a path through the woods.

There are drinking fountains at the farm in Affeltrangen and then not again until Oberwangen. (At least, I didn’t see any others along the way.)

Kloster Fischingen

The Benedictine Abbey of Fischingen was founded in 1138 and is located directly on the Schwabenweg (swabian way), the pilgrimage route from Constance to Rapperswil.
