Stage description

A stage characterised by numerous steep ascents and descents. The second half offers much more scenic appeal than the first. At kilometre 12, after the descent from the Passo di Pietra Tagliata, you pass a glacially formed basin with several springs – following the traces of campfires leads to a spot that is not only beautiful but also a popular place to spend the night under the open sky in summer.
